# Index Tokens

**Types of Index Tokens**

The index tokens will be created by Community User-Generated Content (UGC) or Professional Generated Content (PGC).

* **Thematic Index Tokens**

1 thematic index token = 1 on-chain theme/sector-based token basket (GameFi, SocialFi, AI, etc)

* **RWA Index Token**

infinix.finance has two types of RWA index tokens:

1. **The first category** includes index tokens consisting of issued RWA-themed tokens such as Ondo, Goldfinch, and Maple.
2. **The second category** includes index tokens corresponding to tokenized RWA assets (e.g., real estate, corporate bonds).

One Index Token represents a basket of crypto assets designed to gain exposure to the most important themes/sectors in DeFi.

Each index Token is backed by a proportional tranche of assets held in the smart contract. The token is designed to be mintable & redeemable, fully backed, and transparent.

● Timely trade specific index crypto/RWA token for optimal alpha

● Infrequent trade to minimize cost

● React on theme/sector news without extensive single token research

● Diversify in a basket of tokens to mitigate risk
